«SOLID FOUNDATION WORK ON SOLID GROUND»

CHARTERING

The chartering business requires a particular expertise, as well as personal attendance, which Blue Fleet Group provides to both exclusive ship owners, and direct charterers whose cargoes are entrusted to the Group.

Such substantial foundation allowed the Group to work on solid ground, being able to put the Group’s exclusive vessels at the disposal of charterers, and to secure cargoes from first class charterers for the Group’s owners.

Throughout the years, Blue Fleet Group, which is also a member of the Baltic Exchange of London, is closely monitoring the ship broking sector and is constantly gathering information from its associates, first class charterers and co-brokers, as well as from the various forums and numerous bulletins issued by International Organisations. As a result of this permanent and solid feedback, the Group has been able to make prompt decisions in a very flexible manner showing great adaptability enabling the securement of constant and uninterrupted employment for as many as 30 Handies, Handymaxes and Supramaxes.

The Group often takes some interesting contracts of affreightment in lots of 100,000 up to 500,000 tons over a period of two to three months and is also involved in long term contracts of up to 1.5 million tons per year. Such bulk volumes are carried in priority on board the vessels controlled by Blue Fleet on an exclusive basis. In the event where none of the Group’s vessels are in an optimal geographical position, Blue Fleet charters out tonnage on the market for the performance of such C.O.A. (s) and contracts.

This has allowed the Group to step in the Chartering side of the business, by using its sister company “European Shipping and Commodities S.A.” to perform as charterers on the market. The Group has such earned, and is continuing to earn its reputation.
