Our roots in shipping trace back to 1976, when Roy Khoury began his career in the maritime industry, building on a strong family legacy. His father had established one of the first shipping companies in Lebanon in 1961, laying the foundation for a multi‑generational involvement in shipping.

In 1996, Roy Khoury founded Blue Fleet Management in Athens, Greece, under Greek Law 89, as a shipbroking and shipmanagement company. Since then, the company has steadily grown, developing a reputation for reliability, hands‑on management, and strong chartering expertise.

The family-led ethos continued with the addition of Cherif Khoury in 2012, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business and Maritime Law from the University of Plymouth (UK), as well as a Master’s degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, London.

In 2010, following the stabilization of conditions in Lebanon, the Group confidently expanded its presence by reopening a branch in Beirut. This strategic move strengthened relationships with Middle Eastern shipowners and enhanced the Group’s chartering capabilities in the region.

Drawing on over twenty‑five years of industry experience, Blue Fleet Group has managed and commercially controlled more than 30 vessels on an exclusive basis, ranging from 28,000 to 64,000 dwt, transporting over 5 million tons of cargo annually across worldwide trade routes.
