CHARTERING
Chartering is a core activity of Blue Fleet Group and requires market knowledge, hands‑on involvement, and continuous presence. We provide tailored chartering services to both exclusive shipowners and direct charterers who entrust their cargoes to the Group.
Built on a strong foundation of experience, our chartering team places the Group’s exclusively controlled vessels at the disposal of charterers while securing cargoes from first‑class counterparties for our owners. This integrated approach allows us to balance commercial performance with operational reliability.
As a member of the Baltic Exchange, Blue Fleet Group closely monitors market developments through constant interaction with charterers, co‑brokers, associates, and international industry forums. This real‑time market intelligence enables prompt decision‑making, flexibility, and adaptability, ensuring consistent and uninterrupted employment. Over the years, this approach has supported the chartering of up to 30 Handysize, Handymax, Supramax, and Ultramax vessels.
The Group is actively involved in Contracts of Affreightment (COAs) ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 tons over periods of two to three months, as well as long‑term contracts of up to 1.5 million tons per year. These cargo volumes are carried primarily on vessels under Blue Fleet’s exclusive control. When fleet positioning is not optimal, the Group sources suitable tonnage from the market to perform its contractual obligations efficiently.
Through its sister company, European Shipping and Commodities S.A., Blue Fleet Group also operates actively on the chartering side of the market, acting as a charterer when required. This flexibility has strengthened the Group’s market presence and contributed to its long‑standing reputation for reliability, performance, and commercial expertise.
